How does one make the journey from sinner to saint?
How do we become intentional disciples of Christ and make disciples of others?
How can I know my mission in life?

These are questions that I have been asked many times in the course of my time in full-time lay ecclesial ministry and beyond. In my life I have come to know many Catholics who have a great desire to grow in intimacy with Christ, but who are often discouraged by their own unfaithfulness to His love. I also know of many young people who have had a powerful conversion experience, but who do not quite know how to continue from that initial high onto the long and challenging path towards discipleship. And then there are many Catholics and Christians I know of who have reached a point in their spiritual growth where familiar ways of praying and relating to God no longer “work”. All sincere seekers of God and followers of Christ find great need of companionship and encouragement for a life-time of growth in faith and love.

For myself, I have found that the interior spiritual journey is one of never-ending discovery and rediscovery of who God is and who I am. It is a journey from loneliness to solitude, from noise to silence, from fear to freedom and from brokenness to wholeness in Christ.

This blog is a sharing of my musings and discoveries from what I have seen, and read, and lived about discipleship, prayer, and journeying with others on the path to becoming fully alive in Christ. May it encourage other hopeful sinners like myself who are on the way to letting God love them into saints!
